FAST-DRY airflow technology
Problem
Together with our client, we identified two connected issues. The first was the environmental impact of disposable deodorants. The second was the absence of a truly high performance and fast drying solution that supported the daily routines of busy professionals. Traditional deodorants often rely on single-use plastic, while many high performance options overlook sustainability. Our shared goal was to create a product that delivered reliable performance while meaningfully reducing environmental impact.
Process
We worked in close collaboration with formulation specialists, our electronics development partner, and factory contacts to engineer an effective Fast Dry Airflow system. This cross-disciplinary partnership was essential to bringing the technology and the physical product together in a way that was reliable, manufacturable, and high performing.
At the same time, we partnered with our client to select 100 percent recyclable aluminium for the refill cartridges. Aluminium offered the strongest sustainability profile and could be recycled repeatedly without loss of quality.
A major design challenge was integrating the airflow technology into a compact and refined device. Through iterative development with our electronics partner and continuous coordination with the factory teams, we created a system that optimised air circulation, supported the fast drying formula, and maintained a clean and premium aesthetic.
Outcome
Sustainable Packaging: Recyclable aluminium cartridges significantly reduce environmental impact compared to conventional plastic deodorant formats.
